From Cairo to Budapest: The Choir Project by Salam Yousry (Egypt)
An open workshop for the citizens of Budapest within the framework of Wandering Street-University, a project by Pneuma Szöv. and Mobile Albania
The Choir Project by Egyptian director Salam Yousry started as a Complaints Choir in the heated social times around the Arab Spring. The Choir Project invites people from all directions of life to put their hopes and concerns, their feelings and thoughts, their jokes and woes into song. A week-long workshop of communal improvisation, lyric-writing, and composition culminates in a short performance.

A 6-day workshop at MÜSZI between July 3 and 10, 2013 during the evening hours.
The outcomes of the workshop will be presented on July 10 with a march through the 8th district.
